Guest Information
We have secured room blocks with special discounted rates at two hotels in downtown Seattle, both located within two blocks of the wedding location. Both hotels are also within walking distance of Westlake Center, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle waterfront, and are just a short monorail ride away from the famed Seattle Center and the Space Needle. So, without any further blabbering, here are the hotels:
The Westin Seattle
$150/night (standard, city view room) – This block is now full, but rooms are still available at current rates via the link below.
1900 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101
The Westin is our primary hotel, and where we’ll be staying, too! Guests staying here will sleep on the Heavenly Bed, stay fit in the WestinWORKOUT gym and will receive complimentary WiFi access. The Westin is located across the street from the Westlake Center Light Rail stop, providing direct access to Sea-Tac Airport.
To reserve your room at the Westin Seattle, click the link below, or call 1-888-627-8513 and ask for the “BETZ/PENNAK WEDDING ROOM BLOCK”. Rooms are available from May 20th through May 23rd. Reservations must be made by April 20th, 2010 to receive the discounted rate.

Update: Our discount-rate block is now full, but the Westin still has some availability at current rates through the link above.
Hotel Andra
$159/night (standard room) – This rate expired on April 20th.
2000 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121
The Hotel Andra is also conveniently located just two blocks from Westlake Center and the Light Rail stop. The Andra was recently renovated in 2004, but retains its old-world charm with its classic 1926 brick exterior. Its location within Seattle’s trendy Belltown neighborhood compliments the Andra’s charm and excitement. Located within the same building is the famous Lola restaurant, the Greek-inspired eatery by Chef Tom Douglas (who also owns Palace Ballroom).
To reserve your room at the Hotel Andra, call 1-877-448-8600 and ask for the “PENNAK/BETZ WEDDING”. Reservations must be made by April 20th, 2010 to receive the discounted rate.
Transportation
Guests visiting Seattle from afar will want to fly into the Sea-Tac Airport (SEA), which is located approximately 15 miles from downtown Seattle.
Sea-Tac is connected to downtown Seattle by the new Central Link Light Rail, which was completed in December, 2009. The final stop in downtown is located at Westlake Center, across the street from the Westin and just a block from Hotel Andra. Parking downtown is limited and expensive, so we recommend that guests consider taking the Light Rail, which costs just $2.50 per person to ride from the airport to downtown. Once downtown, taxis and bus service are readily available. The main downtown corridor is a bus free ride zone. The Seattle Center Monorail also runs between Westlake Center and Seattle Center, providing easy access to the Space Needle, Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum, and the neighboring shops and restaurants.
Guests that will be driving from Sea-Tac Airport should follow these directions to the Westin.
Guests living within driving distance of Seattle, please use the map link below to generate custom directions to the Palace Ballroom from your home.
